High school senior, Sofia Black, has had a very hard life. Since her father's death 7 years ago, she has had to look after her drug addicted, alcohlic mother. School isn't any better for her either. The other kids constantly tease, and ridicule her. All she wants is to get out of her small hometown in Alabama.

When new student, Jason, shows up, Sofia's world is turned upside down. She doesn't understand why he wants to befriend her so badly... And, just when she thinks she can trust him, trouble appears.

Jason's twin brother, Robbie, moves into town, and things go haywire. Sofia is now running for her life - and Jason is forced to share hidden secrets with her. She learns the truth about her father's death, and finds out that she may not be as "human" as she once thought. She struggles to accept her fate, while fighting for her life.
My Review: 5 Stars
Caution: this review is full of fan-girliness that could not be controlled. You have been warned.

I was so excited to get to Beta for this book because I love everything Heather M. White writes and she was promising epicness from this one! So basically I'm bragging cause I got to read this book before everyone (okay so maybe Heather Robbins @ SupaGurlBooks finished 3.83 hours before me but that doesn't count because I had school :p) anyway back to the book. The promise of epicness was kept! I loved this book!

this story had me captivated the sec. I opened it...like the outside world did not exist for quite a few hours...(you know a book is good when I start ignoring twitter) It also has a plot twist that I can promise you won't be expecting (unless of course someone spoils it for you). The plot definitely had me flipping pages, but if that wasn't enough there were definitely some SWOON worthy guys present

ummm Jason and Robbie will you PLEASE take your shirt off some more...I would really appreciate it ~Sincerely Drooling
Yah that's all I really have to say about the McHottie twins in this book. You got a little bit of good twin vs. evil twin action going on and it's pretty Hot!

one thing I love about Heather's writing is she doesn't write wimpy girls...Sofia is strong! not only does she have to get past her dad's death, she has to take care of her mom that "fell off the deep end" and live through social ridicule. ...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger...right?

this is definitely my FAVORITE book by Heather so far and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great YA Paranormal Romance read!

Hope you all have a great July 4th and don't forget to stop by tomorrow to check out my interview with Robbie!
